Step by step
In WordPress, use an account with permission to create drafts or publish posts. Create an application password in that user's profile. Prefer a dedicated integration account with minimal permissions.
Open Publication channels → Connect a channel → WordPress. Enter the HTTPS website address, username and application password, not your normal login password. Save and check the connection.
If access fails, check REST API availability, permissions and security-plugin restrictions without disabling site protection. A destination draft stays unpublished; Publish makes it public. WordPress.com connection is not offered here.
